It’s a brand new decade and we thought it would be fun to share our top 20 all-time favorite safari camps with you. Our list started off with more than 80 lodges, the fact that we managed to whittle it down to just twenty (without a single squabble) illustrates how well we ladies here at African Portfolio all work together!
Our choices were based purely on our own “feel-good factor” while staying at these particular camps. As we all know, sometimes the best experiences have nothing to do with thread count, the size of the outdoor shower, or the volume of sundowner drinks; but everything to do with the guides, managers, wildlife, ambience, and who we shared the experience with at the time. If all these forces align, even the simplest camp can be the most magical and memorable one in a safari itinerary. We hope you enjoy our picks, and we would love to see your list too!
